From 15th January 2018 community pharmacists will be able to treat the following conditions.

  • Urinary tract infections (uncomplicated) in ladies between the ages of 16 - 65 years.
  • Impetigo 

If you have symptoms of either of these please call your local pharmacy.

Travel Vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel please note this is a private service.  

  • Please download and complete the initial pre-assessment form(link below).  Paper copies available from the Scalloway Health Centre.

Pre-assessment form

  • Completed forms should then be either emailed to shet-hb.travelclinic@nhs.net ,or printed and handed in to the health centre and the staff will email on your behalf. 12 weeks prior the date of travel.
  • Once the completed form is received, you will be contacted to arrange a full travel assessment.  (Full travel assessment cost: All adults = £50 per person.  Under 16s = £10 per person.  Plus cost of vaccines).

Please note that the Travel Health Clinic operates weekly, on a Thursday.
